The Preamble to the Constitution states one of its purposes is “domestic tranquility,” or peace at home. We are spending trillions for war abroad. Congress must consider the rising pressures–biological pressures–for crime, violence, sedition and even revolution at home.
The forces of biology are stronger than morality or law.
All Americans have biological instincts to survive and protect their young. Cutting programs that meet human needs will create social conditions for unrest and crime, and political conditions suitable for American dictators. Hitler was handed power by intelligent people in desperate circumstances. This chapter is about preserving our democracy.
